There is nothing more exciting to musicians than creating new music on the spot and then translating that excitement to the audience. My interest in improvisation led me to the field of jazz many years ago, and now I'm applying it to the looping age with my project, "Creative Apocalypse".
Over the years I've developed a palate of unusual synthetic textures and electronic drum sounds. Using keyboards - including the Samchillian keyboard - together with my voice, I build up patterns and then experiment with hearing these sounds in different permutations. There is absolutely nothing programmed or planned ahead of time. I have performed with this project at a number of "Warper" events at The Keep, at various venues around New York City and most recently in Prague at "Sofar Sounds".
